5th Annual Southern Elementary Bobcat Run

Southern Elementary will be having its 5th Annual Bobcat Run this fall.
On September 16, 2017 at Beaver Dam Park, we will have a 5K Walk/Run starting at 8 AM,
and a Cub Run for kids (.25 mi) at 9:00 with awards for all age divisions following. 

 

Our registration forms will be at local businesses and Central Office
or you can register online through the link below.

Early registration is $20.00 ($10.00 for Cub Run) and all proceeds go to S.E.S..

The 7th Annual Stuff the Bus Campaign will be
Friday, July 28th from 9:00 AM until 2:00 PM
and Saturday, July 29th from 10:00 AM until 5:00 PM
in the parking lot of Walmart.

Cash donations will be used to purchase additional school supplies and/or clothing for students

All kindergarten students are invited to attend either day or both days!   

Students will go to the classrooms with their  teachers and get to know the school. Parents are invited to stay for a short informational meeting where staff will answer questions about arrival, dismissal, bus information, etc

BloodWayland Alexander Elementary Annual Blood Drive will be Friday, August 25th from 10:00 AM until 6:00 PM in the gym. Students with 4 donors brought in, earn a pizza party!  PTO earns $5 for each blood donor, so please help spread the word!

With summer right around the corner, it’s time to think about how children will eat healthy while school is out.  Ohio County Schools provides FREE MEALS to children 18 and under during the summer. 
Breakfast and Lunch will be available at these locations
Monday through Friday, May 22- August 4th, 2017, with the exception of  May 29th and July 4th, we will be closed.

Full Size Certified Birth Certificate
KY Immunization Certificate
Social Security Card
KY Physical Examination Form
Eye Examination (by an optometrist or ophthalmologist – must be done by January 1, 2018)
Dental Screening/Examination – completed by January 1, 2018

Each child will have academic screenings along with language/hearing screenings. 
To enroll in kindergarten in the state of Kentucky,
a child must be 5 years of age on or before August 1, 2017.
