The 2022-2023 school year marks my tenth year as principal at Horse Branch Elementary School and my twenty-ninth year in education overall.  I earned a Bachelor's Degree and Master's Degree in Elementary Education, and a Rank I in Instructional Leadership - Principal, All Grades, Level 1 and Level 2, all from Western Kentucky University.

Prior to becoming a principal, I was an elementary school classroom teacher and later taught elementary physical education.  My wife Myra and I have been married for over 29 years, and we have two grown children, Dillon and Mallory.  

I understand the importance of communication and I value the role it plays in enhancing the overall educational experience for students.  Classroom teachers at Horse Branch Elementary School send home weekly newsletters.  In addition to this, a weekly school newsletter is created and will be sent to you via email if you provide us with your email address.  We also communicate through the SendIt message delivery system, our school sign, our school website, and through the use of our school's Facebook page.
