Update: Remote Instruction to Resume on November 23

Remote Instruction

The Governor has signed an executive order to stop in-person instruction beginning November 23 through January 3rd. Ohio County Schools will move to “RED” (Remote Instruction) on Monday, November 23. The general schedule/times will be as follows:

Elementary

Preschool = Virtual instruction should be discussed with your child's teacher.

Kindergarten = 8:00 – 10:00

1st-2nd Grades = 8:00 – 11:00

3rd-6th Grades = 8:00 – 12:00

OCMS

7th-8th Grades = 8:00 – 12:00 Students will follow their period schedule. (Classes will be 20-40 minutes each)

OCHS

9th-12th Grades = 8:00 – 12:00 Students will follow their period schedule. (Classes will be 30 minutes each)

Teacher instruction will be recorded so that it can be watched later or again if needed.

Staff will be available after instructional times above for emails, phone calls, remediation, and possible Google/Zoom Meets if students have questions or need additional support.

Students may be given assignments to complete after they concluded the direct instruction.

Parents: Please continue to let the school know if your student has tested positive or needs to quarantine due to exposure. We are required to report our data each day to the state.

We will continue preparing and delivering meals to all children under the age of 18. Additional details will be sent soon.
